Tomato Paradise

Tomato Varieties in Our Garden

First off, tomatoes it is! It’s the picking season and our garden has a multitude to offer as it is bursting with color and flavor this season.

We started things off with Pink Bumblebee which is just beginning to mature. The color is magnificent – even more so at this stage. Next is The Sun Gold Cherries – sweet golden knockouts that tastes just right and there seems to be no end to it. These tomatoes are the best of the best for me, no question. If you have never grown them, you are missing out on something great.

From Tuck’s collection, we also picked up a few Gardener’s Sweetheart and some of the bigger beefsteaks. And believe me when I say this – one of them is the biggest tomato I have ever grown. It is huge! And I cannot wait to show it off to everyone.

Last but not the least we have the Queen of the Night which is quite a sight to behold, in addition to the Orange Banana which is new to me this season considering that I have never seen one before. And the famous Sweet 100 tomato is a favorite of many and is regarded as an all time best.

Vertical gardening just gives me this extra urge to try out as many varieties of vegetables or in this case tomatoes in just under 20 feet of space and grow 20 different individual varieties, everyone come check it out as it surely is a sight to behold.

The Apple Tree Experience

Our Williams Pride Apple Tree is full of apples and is all set for harvest. The best part is that the apples are full of sweetness and flavor which makes taking a bite straight from the tree an unforgettable experience. Moreover, I managed to earn Tuck’s affection by offering him a good snack from the garden as he throughout loves food.

Honestly, Tuck is turning into a troublesome child. But to give him some leeway he is the kind of kid who will always entertain you by scouring the vegetable garden for some fun munchies like carrots and cucumbers which I catch him doing trying to do.

As I harvested a choosy carrot for him that he particularly adores, I was able to collect some other vegetables, including Zulu Pepper and an enormous cabbage. The size of this cabbage cabbage was impressive. From the scope of things, it appears to be the largest cabbage i have ever had in my life. For the cabbage, I had to struggle to lift it.
